What We Arrange
Financing built around your contract
We don't lend directly — we match contractors with the right funding partner for their situation, and manage the process end to end.
Invoice & AR Factoring
Turn government receivables into cash in as little as 24–72 hours. Approval is based on the paying agency's credit, not yours.
Contract-Backed Working Capital
Lines of credit and term loans secured against active contract value, sized to cover payroll, materials, and overhead between draws.
Bridge Financing
Short-term capital for contractors transitioning off a federal set-aside or through a contract gap toward new commercial revenue.
The Process
From first call to funded, without the runaround
We do the matching and pre-screening so you're only in front of lenders who are actually a fit.
Discovery Conversation
Contract type, invoice aging, set-aside status, and what the capital is for.
Capital Readiness Review
A quick read on eligibility before anything goes to a funding partner.
Funding Partner Selection
Your file goes to the lender(s) best suited to your contract and timeline.
Funding Execution
Terms come directly from the funding source. We're paid by them, not by you.
Who We Serve
Built for the DC metro's contracting economy
Federal payment delays and shifting set-aside status create real, recurring cash-flow gaps — even for contractors with strong underlying revenue. We work with the businesses caught in that gap.
- —Federal prime contractors and subcontractors (IT, facilities, staffing, professional services)
- —8(a), HUBZone, and WOSB firms in transition to commercial revenue
- —Staffing agencies and vendors downstream of federal primes
- —Annual revenue roughly $500K–$20M with contract-backed receivables
How It Works
- 1.Tell us about your contract, invoice aging, and funding need.
- 2.We pre-screen and match you with the right funding partner for the situation.
- 3.You review terms directly with the lender — we're paid by the funding source, not by you.
About Merivant
Based in DC. Built for this market.
Merivant Capital was founded on a simple belief: businesses deserve trusted guidance before they're asked to make financing decisions.
Merivant Capital was started to solve one specific problem: federal contractors in the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region are financially sound on paper but cash-strapped in practice, because federal payment cycles and shifting set-aside status don't move at the speed of payroll. We're not a lender. We don't sell financial products. We help businesses identify the right capital solution and connect them with trusted funding partners. We're a broker who understands the mechanics of government receivables, contract mobilization, and 8(a)/HUBZone/WOSB transitions — and we use that to match contractors with the funding partner suited to their specific situation, rather than sending every deal to the same place. Our work starts in the DC metro. As the model proves out, we expect to extend the same approach to other government-contracting hubs.
While Merivant has particular expertise in serving government contractors and businesses working in the public sector, we also assist qualified growth-oriented companies across a range of industries through our network of trusted funding partners.

Questions
Before you reach out
Is this a loan from Merivant Capital?+
No. Merivant Capital is a broker — we don't lend our own funds. We match you with an appropriate factoring company, working capital lender, or bridge financing source and manage the introduction and paperwork.
Does it cost anything to work with you?+
We're compensated by the funding partner when a deal closes, not by you directly. Any fees or rates from the lender itself will be disclosed to you before you commit to anything.
What if my company was recently decertified from an 8(a), HUBZone, or WOSB set-aside?+
That's a core part of what we work on. Losing set-aside status often creates an urgent cash-flow gap while a business pivots toward commercial revenue — we work with funding partners who understand that transition.
What documentation should I have ready?+
Generally: your active contract or task order, an aging summary of outstanding invoices, and recent financial statements. We'll tell you exactly what's needed once we understand your situation.
Do you only work with prime contractors?+
No. We also work with subcontractors and staffing/vendor firms downstream of a federal prime, which often face the same payment-timing pressure without holding the prime contract themselves.
Let's talk about your contract.
Tell us a bit about your situation and we'll follow up to see if there's a fit with one of our funding partners.
